About the Role:
As a CCTV Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of CCTV systems and related ELV infrastructure. The role requires hands-on technical skill, site discipline, and the ability to work closely with project engineers to ensure smooth commissioning and long-term reliability of installed systems.
Key Responsibilities
Installation & Maintenance:
- Install CCTV systems, fire alarm systems, public address (PA) systems, and related ELV equipment as per project requirements.
- Carry out routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance of installed systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Attend to service and maintenance calls as assigned, and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Troubleshooting & Repairs:
- Identify faults in systems through inspection and diagnostic tools.
- Conduct necessary repairs or replacements to restore functionality.
- Coordinate with Project Engineers and Supervisors for resolving complex issues and verifying technical compliance.
Material Handling:
- Collect required materials from the storekeeper as per job order and return any unused items post-completion.
- Ensure accountability and proper documentation of material usage.
Site Coordination & Safety Compliance:
- Work closely with Supervisors and Project Engineers to ensure task execution meets project timelines and standards.
- Adhere to safety protocols and site-specific regulations at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness, discipline, and company standards at both site and accommodation.
Tool Management:
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition. Report any malfunctions or loss immediately.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of assigned tools.
Reporting & Documentation:
- Maintain daily inspection and maintenance logs.
- Prepare and submit reports detailing the work completed, parts used, and any additional observations or actions required.
- Maintain an up-to-date filing system and equipment service records.
Commissioning Support:
- Assist Project Engineers in the commissioning of newly installed equipment.
- Perform functional testing and validation in accordance with system requirements and client expectations.
- Ensure system handovers are documented and compliant with specifications.
